Survey to a Close - Individual Project

As the feedback amount has reached 50 participants, the Survey has come to a close. This will allow for conclusion of the exploration of using a Virtual Environment for visualization of a heritage site, and the amount of interest there could be. I will soon be analysing the data and stating a conclusion of what the data has demonstrated, however as this is only a small amount of participants, it can only suggest of what the general opinion may be. If you haven't read any previous posts, my University dissertation is titled: "An Evaluation of using a Games Engine for Virtual Environment recreation and as an Educational Material", this will also research into Navigational Systems and their effectiveness within Virtual Environments. The site that I will use as my Virtual Environment is the Neolithic Long Barrow that has recently been discovered in the New Forest National Park, in which the authorities have used the latest LiDAR technology to uncover the hidden sites. More information on what they have uncovered can be seen here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-24368290.

For those that don't know what a Neolithic Long Barrow, below you can see what they looked like. These Long Barrows hold remains of various different age groups & genders, there is evidence to suggest that the bones of these remains were removed for short periods and then placed back in the tombs, but the reason for this is still unknown. They acted as Territorial markers for civilization in the era of 3000-3500 BC.
