as it can be seen, there has been no blog posts for a long period of time, this is due to a variety of reasons, with working part-time of roughly 24 hours per week with all the university work and assignments, time is lost. personally i feel that my time management this year has been on point, with achieving 70%+ in all of my assignments this year, except for one.. this is huge improvement from second year. if everything falls into place with my dissertation and exam grades, my minimum grade should be 2:1 overall, with the chance of a first.
this year has gone so quickly, and with the finishing of my exam (about 4 weeks ago), university has finished. these 3 years have gone by so quickly, and with it coming to a close, the choice of a career path needs to be chosen.
with the dissertation as last spoken about in the post, it's changed dramatically. instead of the rock/stoney structure of the neolithic long barrow, it has been researched and concluded that this one was most likely of a wooden structure. i've uploaded a slideshow of images of my finished dissertation on my new and improved website https://www.charlesedwardhunt.co.uk/leveldesign
(https://www.charlesedwardhunt.co.uk)!
i have also updated my 3d models section in which shows the zbrush golbin archer that i had created earlier this university year, which you can see here: https://www.charlesedwardhunt.co.uk/3dmodels

Individual Project - Long Barrow Project
As i have spoken before, my Dissertation project is of the Neolithic Long Barrow, reconstructing this historical environment through the Unreal Engine 4. Currently, the creation of the Long Barrow has begun, with various other assets created and awaiting implementation within. There has also been progress with the creation of the Navigational System (Objective Marker System) which is an additional feature within this virtual environment. Here are some recent images of the current development process.
There is still plenty of development to under-go, with various tasks such as re-texturing the landscape, as the satellite image has only been used to correctly position the Long Barrow site, and also due to the minor details of roads, that wouldn't have existed back then. Further updates will be updated upon completion of milestones within the project.

Closed Door to 1st Term - 2nd Term Begins
Unfortunately due to a very busy period of 3 University Assignments and of course the holiday break, I haven't been able to post.
As of today, I have received two feedback and grades from these, with the Modelling & Game Design still to come within the next week.
Quick Summary of the Assignments:
- Business & Innovation > e-Portfolio Project
This assignment was to test our e-Portfolio design, Search Engine Optimization techniques, Mobile compatibility. The initial aim is to create our online portfolio to demonstrate our skills & knowledge of our specific area (Games Technology - Modelling & Level Design). This was to prepare us for our future en devours.
Feedback Grade: 78%
- Individual Project > Presentation 1
This Presentation was to demonstrate our project planning and overall research into our Dissertation Project. As my Project is specifically based on the Long Barrow site of the New Forest National Park, I had various slides on these, with the Methodology that will take place, the various testing and the Future Agenda of the progress of the Project
Feedback Grade: 71%
- Modelling & Game Design > Character/Building Sculpt
Using zBrush for 50%+ of the model, we could sculpt and create any character/building/vehicle of our choosing. I chose to create a Goblin Scout, the majority of it was created in zBrush, with outsourcing Maya for the weapons. Below is a video of the High Polygon Model.
